About DAZ 3D...

To put it simply, DAZ 3D is an easy to navigate, fun to use three dimensional art rendering program.  It allows you to bring your images to a whole new life with the power of your computer!

What can you do with DAZ?

You can do just about anything you want with your pictures in DAZ.  You can make fantasy scenes, portraits of people, animals in the wild, just about anything, provided you have the right figures of course.

I've heard about the Poser series, what about that?

After just recently venturing into the world of the Poser family of products, I find that DAZ is much better for the beginning artist.  The program is easier to use, with the options being made clearer and easier to find.  Of course the final results in Poser are slightly better, but for the ease of use, DAZ is worth it.  Plus its free!

Where do I get started?

By visiting DAZ's website (here), you can find the actual studio program available for download, along with many other goodies to help you get started in the realm of 3D art.

Where can I get help?

Well your first option is by emailing me (here) and I will do my best to get back to you with the help you seek.  Also you can click the artist guide link above here to be directed to DAZ's artist help page, which will answer many basic use questions about the program.

How much does it cost to get started?

Absolutely nothing, its free to get the program!  Other downloads such as clothing, figures, scenes, etc will cost money which makes it somewhat restrictive to get everything you want, but its well worth it when you see the results as you improve your skill.

Can my computer do all this?

Well, that all depends on your computer.  The actual rendering will use most of your computer's assets so don't really expect to be doing much of anything while your picture is being rendered.  Also, based on the complexity of your work, it can take anywhere from 5 minutes to several hours for you to render a final result.  The best advice is to experiment with what your computer can do.  And always, always, save before you render.  You never know what might happen...
